How hard is it to rob a BANK?

I'm watching the news right now and there were 4 bank robberies today. None of the robbers were cought. Also it's easier to rob a bank since a lot of branches are expanding into the suberbs.

So how hard is it? It seems that all you need to have is balls.

coco, it depends on how much effort you put into finding out what is going on in the first place. Also, you have to be smart about how they give you the money. Two guys robbed a restaurant here in Balto city today, they ended up dying in an automobile accident fleeing the scene, the cars were so badly wrecked you couldn't tell what kind of vehicles they were....bad decision.

You need to hit big and assemble a team. Watch Masterminds on Court TV channel. Most get caught !

The common hold-up man may get a few k, but needs to repeat regularly, thus his demise, like a punter that over-bets.

Randomness helps in crime. If you could murder some random person and collect millions for your effort, it would be easy enough to do so and get away with it ..once, if you could accept your actions as being legitimate, or not care !

Petty bank robbery may suceed even 10 times in a row, but never big enough !

Robbing a bank is simple, just walk in, tell them you have a gun and demand some cash.

Now the hard part is actually getting away with it.........

Ok to make things clear. Yesterday 4 Banks were robbed in Chicago. 2 at the same time and others with 30 min intervals. None of the fugatives were cought. The robberies was basicly in Downtown Chicago.

robbing a bank automatically gets the feds involved and usually a 20 year sentence if convicted

there are other ways to get more money and less time with no feds involved

rarely do the bank robbers get a big score

the embezzlers are the ones that it takes years to catch, get the big loot, and a smack on the wrist when caught
hell, you could steal a few cars and get less pressure from the cops, and probably same amount of money as the average bank robbery
